Quick

It's been awhile, hasn't it? I'll give a quick list of recent news:
1) Been working on fixing Pious' bumper. I scraped off the license plate with the moving truck. I please stupidity... I never drove a 16' moving truck before. Since when was Bond-o pink?! I looks like I'm fixing the bumper with chewing gum. Fun fact: Todd likes dumpster diving. I accidentally threw away the license plate backing so I had to jump in the trash to get it.
2) Karen completed the Hood-to-Coast run which involved running 197 miles over roads and trails. Her 12 person team averaged 8:20 min miles and finished it in just about 27 hours. She ran three legs totaling 14.75 miles and thankfully didn't have to run at too strange a time, like 3am. Karen's pooped... she didn't sleep on Friday night so she didn't sleep for 38 hours or so. But, she's on an endorphine and accomplishment high and wants to do it again next year. Crazy.
3) We got Comcast. Free internet was too slow and I needed it for my thesis class. I'm totally stoked cause I got a Buffalo router for cheap (approx 4x onboard ram as the average Linksys router... woot!) and I have receiver-booster on the laptop (Alfa... woot!) and I just flashed tomato onto the Buffalo router (software/firmware, kicks arse... woot!)
4) Karen and I are both working now and are saving up for a house. We like Laurelhurst area right now. St. Johns area is nice, but lacking infrastructure and well... a little homeless-y sometimes.
5) I'm almost done repairing a 5.5ft tall cat house. I went dumpster diving again the day before we left our old apartment, 8150 Bottom of Hades. There was an old cathouse someone threw out. And for good reason; something peed on the base... a lot of pee. I ripped off the base and have been sanding and staining and restoring the carpet.
6) Bought a hybrid bike. So far biked about 15 miles before I blew a flat. Not a tire, but my left ass muscle got strained. Man, I'm out of shape. Fun though.
7) Went driving range today at Portland Meadows. I thought it was a golf course near the horse racetrack. No... it's a golf course in the middle of the race track with the driving range. Did as well as expected: 8,7,6,5,4 iron all carry about 130 yards.

Tally: I fished out 3 lamps, 2 coffee tables, 2 scratching posts, 1 cat house, and a license plate mount (ours, though) out of the trash so far. Potential savings: circa $250.

Bummer: Bathtub spigot broken. Dripping water. Landlord is coming in to replace valve stem. Hopefully won't have to rip out wall although it appears it was done before.
