"if only we allowed the holy spirit to make all our decisions...this world would be a more beautiful place..."

My initial response is fear. Yes, I am Christian. I just think that lots of people hear the holy spirit, which contribute to many problems in the Christian and secular world. Shouldn't it sound the same if it's from one god? I was in a meeting once where someone claimed they heard the holy spirit, thus the proposition the hearer supported was the correct one to chose. Charlamagne discovered Christianity because he heard the spirit and used that as a platform to begin mass reforms and garnered enough power to unite the empires.
Convenience.
If indeed hearing the holy spirit makes the world a beautiful place, then I hope that someone on the other side of the battlefield somewhere isn't hearing the holy spirit because that world will be beautiful for someone else, relative to their context.
Paradise and apocalypse in the same breath.
Man, I'm jaded.
I have to live with the paradox that I need to live long enough to have the faith of a child with the mental and physical faculties to match.
