October Updation

Hi Diddly Ho:
-The wife-o has started dragon boating the past two weeks with a bunch of women lawyers. She's enjoying it a lot, except for wearing the stinky community life jackets. It's a good upper body workout, especially on her back. Watch out Willamette River fish, my wife may fall out of the boat you might get caught in her traps. Ha ha ha (or not)

-Todd-o thought about joining the church music team next year because he would be better prepared. So naturally I emailed the church last month to join. Auditions are next week. Did I mention I don't own a bass guitar? Might be as fruitful as a one-legged man in an @$$ kicking contest.

-Been putting a heck lot of time into thesis. November is looming and I'm scared I won't finish. Made good progress this weekend but haven't gotten feedback from advisor yet on any questions or drafts. Getting annoyed.

-Fall has officially started in Portland. The lows have been upper-40s and highs of lower 60s. Tomorrow will be upper-30s and mid-50s. It also gets dark around 6.

-Was cussed out by a homeless person at the bus stop. Didn't give a cigarette or 2 bucks to a homeless person in the wee hours of the morning. She started yelling racial epithets... only problem is she didn't know any asian ones. She called me a f&cking n!gger. Nothing like being racist and ignorant at the same time, though she utterly made my day. Public transportation is seriously overrated. I'm thinking about a tazer since it's legal in Oregon and Washington (it's not in Hawaii!).

Here's some pictures: Prelude to a bat in the face, the new 65 inch cat house, new bicycle, and a view from the balcony.
