I have a confession: I'm terrible at this blogging thing, but you already knew that.
Here's a short one for Jan:
-Karen loves her new job. The firm works with a marketing company to take pictures and it should end up on the company website soon:

I'm getting old, or already there: Last night, Karen went dancing for a friend's birthday. Me, I mixed bran cereal with multigrain cheerios and had a quiet night with the cat in my lap. Mind you, this morning I'm eating whole grain waffles while I'm waiting for the laundry to finish. I've already been to Home Depot and Frys (about 15 miles away) and it's not even 10 oclock yet.
Here's a recipe I've tried: Weekend Penne Bolognese.

It was good. It makes a decent amount of food and it's quick.
Notes: be a little more selective about the wine you use; the flavor of the wine will characterize the flavor of the sauce. I used a mix of sherry and cab... I should've used perhaps a merlot or just cab... the sherry overpowered the other seasoning. Not to mention the high alcohol content of the sherry didn't really cook off... I was feeling pretty happy at work. Now that I think about it, maybe I'll use nothing but sherry next time. j/k
