Happy News Years (eve)

Happy New Years (eve)! I'm sitting here at 11:30pm with my mochi and my wife has gone to bed about 30 mins ago (she been longing for bed since 7:30 or so). Just me and my fuzzy cat who doesn't pay much heed to all the noise outside other than the inconvenience of missing a nap or two. I have to blog now because I probably will sleep soon (I'm getting old... I catch myself wishing it would rain right about now)

Just a little recap: Yesterday was Karen's birthday. I made a reservation for a Dolphin Adventure Swim at Sea Life Park. It was really rainy in the beginning and it cleared up later thankfully. I remember the park being a lot bigger when I was a kid, but then again, I remember Oahu being a lot bigger (with less people) which is part of the reason why we're moving now (shame on all your people who procreate incessantly, rabbits!) Anyhow, Karen enjoyed herself thoroughly and we had a nice dinner at P.F. Changs (decent food, but expensive= worth trying once.)

Also on the 30th, we shipped our Pious via Horizon. Much better service than Matson and unlike Matson, they put it in a container. It cost about 1.072k and it should arrive on Jan 13th. They hold cars for 5 business days w/o charge (Matson only 2).

We're getting closer every day and the reality is really setting in. Holy schiznit... we're leaving soon and I have to pack.

Another fun little tidbit: our computer contracted a virus and I took me till 2am last night to fix it. Thank goodness though, I didn't have to wipe the harddrive... it was a P.In.T.A, but it was fixable. The moral of the story: Norton AntiVirus sucks. It did nothing but tell me that I had problems (that I already knew about before NAV decided to say something) and did nothing to fix the reg key problems.

Be safe all and I'm sure many of us have good reason to look forward to 2009 (or at least the later half of it perhaps when the economy stabilizes [hopefully]
